The Ambassador

His Excellency Ambassador Adotey Anum (Dr) is a career diplomat with over thirty years of working experience. 

He was appointed as Ghana’s Ambassador to Tripoli, Libya in January 2020 and presented his credentials in March 2020. 

Ambassador Anum began his career as an Assistant Director in 1990 and rose through the ranks to attain the grade of a Director. He served in different capacities at the Headquarters and various Ghana Missions abroad during the course of his Foreign Service career. 

 He was Acting Consul General at the Ghana Consulate in New York from 1993-1998, and as Head of Consular Affairs at the Ghana Missions in Tripoli Libya, Pretoria South Africa, Berlin Germany, and Geneva Switzerland. 

His Excellency holds Master’s and Phd degrees in Security Studies and Political Science respectively.

THE EMBASSY OF GHANA IN TRIPOLI, LIBYA, WISHES TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT EFFECTIVE MONDAY, 28TH MARCH, 2022:

  • FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TAKE A PCR TEST FROM THEIR COUNTRY OF EMBARKATION TO BE ALLOWED ENTRY INTO GHANA.
  • FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO UNDERGO AN ANTIGEN TEST UPON ARRIVAL IN GHANA.
  • CITIZENS AND FOREIGN RESIDENTS IN GHANA, WHO ARE NOT FULLY VACCINATED, WOULD HOWEVER NEED TO PROVIDE A NEGATIVE PCR TEST RESULT OF NOT MORE THAN 48-HOURS AND WILL UNDERGO AN ANTIGEN TEST UPON ARRIVAL AT KOTOKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, AND WILL BE OFFERED VACCINATION THERE.
  • FULL VACCINATION IS A NOW A REQUIREMENT FOR VISA ACQUISITION TO GHANA.
